2Spent semester break in the Pyrenees, fell in love, started a family, rustic life in the mountains, economic crisis, returned to Berlin with the family and started again with € 20 in your pocket! Berlin Underwear was created in 2011 in the living room of our young family in Berlin. Based on the principle of “trial and error”, we design and sew cute, unique underwear for him and her in Berlin. Our first few patchwork panties we made ourselves were so well received that during our first meeting with a customer at a Berlin flea market, the coffee was frozen in the mug. Since then we couldn't stop sewing new panties.
Our timeless and comfortable cuts offer high wearing comfort and the quality of the fabrics and seams ensure durability that we are positively surprised by ourselves.
It quickly became clear to us that we also wanted to implement our personal convictions in our young company. As a human species, we have extremely transformed this planet and we have to think responsibly about the consequences of all our actions. First of all, of course, sustainable production and materials but also our production did not mean moving to cheap and distant foreign countries, as is customary. We always wanted to be part of the entire manufacturing process ourselves, create jobs in our environment and keep transport routes short. Our first seamstress was the biggest step of many more small steps we have taken since then.
Organic underwear for women
We still produce one-off items and that are manufactured in our own factory. Since we do not have mass production, we can play with our beautifully patterned, fun-loving fabrics every day and combine them again and again.
The desire for underwear made of organic cotton increased and our organic collection was soon launched. People asked for men's shorts, large sizes, children's panties, bras and so one thing led to another and slowly but steadily our small range grew to what it is today.
